Feng Shui Tips for apartment
HI ,all if you have owner apartment .Do you have some problem ?such as:
your water heater just break, Having bad luck lately, Not enough room in your apartment? Your apartment may be suffering from bad feng shui.

Looking for an apartment?
Use the 3 Ps

If you are looking for an apartment, feng shui can be of help. Look for the 3 Ps:

3 Ps

Path of energy
One of the basic rules when decorating with feng shui is to make sure that the path of energy, whether good or bad, cannot flow through your home. This happens when windows are directly across from each other, or doors are directly in front of a window. When good energy flows through your home, you can have good luck one day and bad the next, since the good energy has just flown through. When bad energy flows through your home, it is believed to cause more than just bad luck, including death and pain. Although the bad energy can flow out of your home, it leaves its wrath and can be hard to fully get rid of.
Plenty of windows
The second rule is that when you open up a window and allow natural sun light, only positive energy can flow through. When shopping for an apartment, look for windows throughout but make sure that it does not violate the first rule. Ideally your window should have direct natural light.
Pastel colored kitchen
According to Lillian Too, your kitchen is a part of your home that influences your family’s health based on its design. One of her suggestions when decorating a kitchen is to have a beige, yellow or pastel colored kitchen. When you go apartment hunting, look for a pastel colored kitchen. With it, you are one step closer to creating positive energy to flow through your home. Without a pastel colored kitchen, a bucket of paint, and your landlord’s written permission can take care of this.
Modifying your current apartment? Follow the ABC’s

You already moved in and you want to decorate using feng shui techniques? Not a problem. Although feng shui is complicated and there are many experts who could do an extensive analysis of your home, you can still do a few things yourself. Follow the ABC’s:

ABC

Arrange furniture
Start with an empty room. Once a room is empty, you can then fill it one piece at a time. You should begin with the larger pieces, like the couch, bed, television, etc. When placing each item, analyze whether the object is relevant to the area and whether people can flow through the room without running into anything. Ask yourself if you really need it in the room you are working on, or if it would better fit into another room, or if you should donate it, to goodwill. You don’t have to put everything back into the room that you took out. Get rid of whatever you have left after arranging each room. This is considered clutter and can slow down your positive energy.
Birthday symbols
Each individual has a symbol that is determined by their birthday. Use your birthday to find out what object you should place in the middle of your living room. Find your color, earth element (water, wood, fire, earth, metal) and direction, using a ba-gua. For example, my zodiac symbol is a rat, and since my birthday is in August, by the astrological weight and birth calculator I should place a crab in the middle of my living room so that my wealth can be protected.
Clean up
As one of the most important steps to improve your chi, cleaning up can help. Positive energy can’t come through when there’s dirt and clutter everywhere. Start early, start now. If you haven’t cleaned your home lately, then your chi could be clogged up behind that dirty closet or in the messy bed you haven’t made yet. Spring cleaning does not apply only to your home. You should neutralize the negative energy in your life and job. This can include people, bad habits, and anything that could potentially make your “chi” stale and slow.

If you’re around negative people, of course you may not be able to get away from some of these individuals. If at all possible, you should try to minimize the amount of time spent with people who make you tired, depressed, angry, and suppresses your new opportunities. Instead, welcome new friends and opportunities. If people who are slowing down your chi live with you, when it comes to the end of the lease, it’s time to say goodbye.

Bad habits die hard. However, while working on your home to improve it, you should also improve yourself. Whether you smoke, don’t put down the toilet seat, whatever your faults are, you should at least make an attempt to improve yourself. Ask, what can make your chi stale and slow? Work on issues in your life that increase stress, create fights, and make it difficult for you to get a good night’s sleep.

Experts to help

As I mentioned, feng shui is complicated, and there are experts who are willing to complete an extensive analysis of your home. Here are a few websites to visit if you are interested in contacting an expert in your area:

Feng Shui and the Wealth Corner

|

The planet Mercury is currently in retrograde phase until February 18th when it turns direct. Mercury rules communication of all sorts, transportation, and commerce. When it is in retrograde it is a perfect time to clean out the old to make way for the new. It is the perfect time to study our old patterns, limited belief systems, and to get rid of what no longer serves us. If we do our homework we can move forward when it is goes direct. Now is the time to clean out closets and drawers and cupboards, and it is a most auspicious time period to apply a little Feng Shui to your home. In this way you are preparing an energy pathway along which all new things can flow to you easily and effortlessly. Here we will be focusing on clearing a pathway to wealth and abundance.

Feng Shui means literally “wind and water.” It is an ancient Chinese methodology for bringing harmony into one’s environment by the placing, arranging, or removal of objects. The goal is to stimulate unimpeded “Chi” or “Qi,” which is basically “energy flow.” Ancient traditional Feng Shui practice included the use of maps, baguas, compasses, astronomy, forms of astrology, symbols, phases, and elements to determine fortunate placements. The basic Feng Shui that we will be referring to here is a simplified, Westernized version which uses what is known as a Bagua Map.
feng shui bagua

The octagonal Bagua map is a modern, fundamental Feng Shui tool used to determine favorable placement of items to stimulate Chi. To use the Bagua map, simply place it over the floor plan of your home, office, or any other space you want to apply Feng Shui principles to, with the career area over your front door or entryway. You can then figure out what areas need to be “cured” and what areas are already fine. For example, if you discover that you have a bathtub, sink, or toilet in your wealth area you might find that all your money is quickly disappearing “down the drain.” If you have your master bedroom in your relationship/marriage sector, you may have a happy relationship.

Since we are focusing on wealth and abundance here, it is helpful to know what to do if we find our “wealth” section in need of a cure or two. First of all, don’t panic if you have a bathroom in that area. If you do, there are many things you can do to stimulate the Chi of that area and effect a cure. For example, you can place a wind chime outside or inside the bathroom. You can make sure that you keep the door closed and place a mirror on the outside of the door. This is to deflect the “bad” Chi from that area. You can keep the drains and toilet lid closed so as not to encourage “money going down the drain.” You can decorate the bathroom using all or some of the colors that are considered fortunate for that area of the Bagua. In this instance those colors would be green, purple, and/or red.

For those that do not have a bathroom in this area, you also want to do everything you can to stimulate this area. The number one thing to do is free this area from all clutter. Nothing new can come in if there is no room for it to do so. Next, place objects in that area that are green, purple and/or red or decorate that section of your home in those colors. Examples of objects you could place there would be a nice leafy green healthy plant or tree, or a Feng Shui “money tree” made of citrine quartz or other crystals. You could even put a large amethyst crystal or a gold “wealth ship” there. You can also place in that section of your home an aquarium or fountain or anything that is a symbol of wealth and prosperity to you. Whatever you put there, keep it neat, clean, dust free and in good working order to keep the “flow” going. And it is a good practice when bringing any new object into your home to welcome the newcomer just as you would any honored guest. Thank it, bless it and treat it well. This act of gratitude begins to open up other pathways to abundance.

For further information on attracting wealth, read the new book “Money and Manifesting by Dyan Garris.” Included is a chapter, “The Feng Shui Money Tree – Something Out of Nothing.”

Need some inner peace? guide to rearrange your life according to the principles of feng shui.

|

Feng shui, translated literally, means "wind and water." It is a Chinese art, one that is rapidly overtaking the United States. It deals with the placement of life objects in ways that promote health and happiness in the human spirit.

Feng shui's purpose is to bring nature back into life, make people more compatible with the world around them, and teach them to use this world to further themselves in their health and goals. This practice believe in the life force of a body, or "chi." It believes that the force of all things can be manipulated by the position of wind and water. Ancient Chinese people used these elements to achieve what they wanted in life. This means preventing bad fortune, creating a good impression on the job, achieving love and marriage, feeling safe and protected, getting pregnant, finding better health and uniting family.
feng shui beginner guide4
Feng shui promotes a new way of looking at space. It breaks it into gradations, with numbers assigned in terms of how the space is used. It is not unusual for a feng shui master to break a room into a grid of nine parts, each with a number from 1 to 10. This number indicates an area, and the energy level of the area. Certain tokens, like crystals or coins can be placed in an area that is low in energy to give it a boost. Feng shui students are urged to feel these areas and determine what is needed in them. Thia approach, while unusually intuitive, promotes a healthy understanding of the body's needs.
feng shui beginner guide3

There are a few basic elements that are used to increase and decrease energy (tokens). One is earth, which symbolizes human interaction and relationships in family and love. When the energy in this area is increased, love and receptive behavior is promoted. Water is another, and thunder is a third. Water relates to the ability to flow through life and let it cover you with healing. Thunder is indicated by power images and darker stones. It represents power, and certain areas of power or helplessness in a life. Wind, lakes, peace, mountains and fire are all other areas of energy. Wind celebrates newer blessings in a life, and prosperity. Peace is the reconciliation of opposing forces, lakes bring creative powers to the mind, and mountains represent our own spirituality and the journey to get to an inner peace. Finally, fire is the light of illumination, burning even as it enlightens. It symbolizes inner happiness and contentment when present in the right amount.
feng shui beginner guide2

Some of the elements should be studiously avoided in certain areas. For instance, water should never be placed in a bedroom because of it's transient quality. Fire should not be placed in a food area. Mountains should not be placed in an area of love, and so on.

Feng shui is so popular in the States that consultants are rising dramatically in number. If you are looking to take the principles of feng shui into your home, consider hiring one of these experts to aid you in your transition. Good luck, and good chi!

Beginners feng shui guide

|
feng shui beginners
Ever walk into a strange place and instantly feel comfortable and at home? If so you are probably feeling the effects of feng shui, the Chinese art of balance in design and placement. Pronounced "fung shway", the phrase translates literally as "wind-water" and is an ancient philosophy that seeks to create balance between

artificially created environments and the natural elements, including water, wood, metal, fire and earth. By creating this balance, practitioners believe positive energy, or "ch'i" is enhanced and brought close, benefiting those surrounded by it. Followers believe this ch'i will bring prosperity, renewed vigor, and health, making feng shui one of the more popular trends to emerge in recent years.
More than a decorating strategy, feng shui can benefit homes, offices, businesses and even cars as the elements of the earth are brought together in such a way as to balance negative energy and cultivate ch'i. Using just the basics, an uncomfortable or impersonal home can be made warmer and more inviting. An unproductive office can suddenly generate creativity and innovation. And a car that seems to be a magnet for dents, fender benders and even tickets can suddenly be rid of its negative current, transforming into a safe and comfortable method of transportation.

Although the advanced principles of feng shui relate to the individual practicing it, and utilize such things as the person's birth date, birth order, wind direction near the area being studied, and the individual's sign under the Chinese zodiac, there are some basic ideas that apply to everyone and every situation.

Water
The flow of water symbolizes life and vitality. Position water elements such as a koi pond or small waterfall so that the fall of the wall is toward the house. This will direct ch'i into the home, harmonizing the structure with nature. In an office environment, a small, desktop waterfall should face the occupant when seated at the desk. In any environment the use of a fish tank can enhance ch'i as fish are considered the universal symbol of abundance. Many corporate offices design large fish tanks into walls and conference rooms, utilizing the feng shui belief that such an element enhances wealth.

Numbers
The number nine (or multiples of), symbolizes prosperity and vitality. Nine houseplants scattered throughout the home or office can absorb negative energy and enhance ch'i. Conversely, the number four is rarely used because the Chinese word for "four" sounds identical to the word for "death." Serving four people for dinner? Set an extra place for a potential visitor, neutralizing any potential negative energy.

Furniture
Beds should never be placed with the foot directly facing the door. This is known in feng shui to be the "death position" and should be avoided. Desks should be placed so that the occupant can face the expanse of the room when seated, commanding and wielding power. Mirrors with rounded edges soften negative energy while reflecting positive ch'i. Sofas, chairs and tables made from natural materials are more comfortable than those with artificial fabrics and hard, straight lines. In love with the sleek, modern look of steel and glass? Not to worry. Modern furniture can be softened with soft, natural pillows or an earthy sculpture of stone or natural mineral. To enhance ch'i and promote well-being, a room should never be completely filled with artificial materials and man-made items. Even placing a bowl of live fruit on a table enhances ch'i.

Crystals
A crystal ball or hanging crystal is said to promote creativity and healing. Place a crystal over a chronically messy area to improve order and structure to the area, while improving effectiveness by increasing the ch'i in the room. According to many practitioners, placing crystals in the kitchen improves the healing properties of the food prepared there and can prolong the freshness of fruits and vegetables.

Vehicles
According to feng shui believers, using any of the natural elements in a car will promote ch'i and reduce negative energy. Even the sound of running water, such as a natural sounds CD playing in the stereo can help. A small crystal hanging from the mirror can help restore balance between the driver and the vehicle, preventing some accidents. At the very least, recognizing that all things carry energy and that energy can be either positive or negative, can help drivers tune-in to the ch'i of the road, improving their driving skills.

Whether on the road or in the boardroom, feng shui provides insight into the natural balance between earth and environment. If you are searching for greater happiness, health, prosperity and vitality, practicing these basic principles of feng shui just may bring you greater positive energy, improving your relationship with the world around you.- Stephanie Tallman Smith
